Principal's Message
A Message from Mr. Bowman
Dear Parents/Guardians,
I want to welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year at Newark High School! I am extremely proud to be the principal of Newark High School. This is a very special place, and our school is the focal point of many positive activities and events within our community. I have had the privilege of working at NHS for the past 27 years. During this time, I have thoroughly enjoyed watching our young men and women grow up, graduate from high school and move on to college, the military, a job, or a technical/trade school.
This year promises to be an exciting one as we work together to give high-quality instruction to our students. Our school day will start at 7:25 am. Please see the bell schedule below.
I believe that communication is the key to a successful educational experience. Together, we will continue to improve the quality of our school community and provide the best experience for all students at Newark High School. Education is truly a partnership between the school, students, parents/guardians, and community.
During this 2024-2025 school year, we will continue to build upon and refine our foundation of hard work and tradition of helping our students achieve excellence. Our teachers have some of the finest training and skills and are well prepared to teach basic skills as well as to provide enrichment opportunities for our students. NHS is also fortunate to have a wide variety of options in the arts, music, and athletics available to all students.
Students - I encourage you to become involved in your school and participate in a variety of academic and extra-curricular activities. Join the Newark High tradition and become a part of the rich academic, co-curricular, and extra-curricular programs that Newark High has to offer. Get involved, stay active, and enjoy the high school experience!
I look forward to our partnership this upcoming year. By working together, we can provide a fantastic learning experience for your child. As always, I appreciate your support. Go Cats!
Sincerely,
Tom Bowman
Principal
